Like everyone else in this game, there are things about it that bother me. Some of those things are things only SOE and the PTB can fix and others are things that players themselves can do.
For instance, today I was in a group with a couple of guildmates in PoV. The group was trying to get to IC and after getting to camp, it took one bad pull to have us running to the GY, shouting TRAIN all the way.
When I zoned back in, I ran over to OC to see how that group was doing with our mobs and found two down and the rest were either fleeing or had already zoned. Unbeknownst to me, my group went right back to IC while I stayed at OC, rezzing those fallen and buffing they and the rest.
Shortly after that, our final group mate got to OC and we invited her, where she promptly went LD a few moments later. I was told that IC was going to train and warned OC. There were a couple of people in group going back and forth regarding who was going to take the train out and such and then the train went out. OC was impressed at the size of the train, I might add.
Then, someone in group said, "Jill, run if you can." And I said, "Why, I'm safe on the hill." While I was watching the mobs go back to the safety of the cave. And the group said, "No, you are supposed to be running back into the cave, that's why we did the train." At this point, a groupmate - a guildie BTW - said, "This group is going no where fast..." and disbanded.
I told the group that I hadn't known that the train was meant to get me back into the cave and said so; someone responded that our group leader had mentioned it awhile back. I said that it was probably while I was helping out the OC group and must have missed it.
Anyway, in my mind, several things were wrong with this situation; the worst, in my way of thinking - given my morals and ethics of how I play - was my bending my own regulation of playing while I didn't have my full attention on a group, because of Andrew, and the second was being in a group that didn't bother to help OC after our train.
Another thing that bothered me is the two guildmates that were involved in this situation. Before we moved into IC, one of them was the puller and brought a mob into camp while the other said he was going to look around. The second one was supposed to be healing as I was OOM from buffing everyone and he told the first one that he needed an INC message to which the first guildmate replied that he had an INC message and had said INC and then preceded to spam the group with the message then asking the second guildmate if he saw it that time.
The things players can do to make the game more enjoyable, less stressful and such is to help each other out, be more forgiving of each other's mistakes and to be much less intense when something doesn't go just right.
... Anyway... just my two cents.
