First off, let me thank Kanlain and Ceelani for graciously hosting the 2003 Gathering and compliment them on a job well done. I very much enjoyed attending my second gathering and hope that the guild will continue to hold gatherings in the years to come.
Most arrived on Friday for the festivities, some driving and some flying in. The gathering kicked off Friday evening with a barbeque, provided by our gracious hosts, once the traffic accident delayed and the flight delayed managed to wander in. You two know who you are!
Talk, of course, ranged throughout the spectrum of online games. I even spent a couple hours on Kanlain's SWG account rolling a character and checking it out (still think I like EQ better, but had fun running missions and such.) One gathering goer even brought his own computer, which was networked in, and additional gaming power was available.
Gathering participants ate, drank, played, and chatted til the wee hours of the morning each day. Unfortunately the local casino was closed this year, but we did attend the local rodeo again on Saturday night.
The gathering concluded on Sunday, as the various participants left out at differing times throughout the day. Looking back, I can confirm that a good time was had by all.
If any of the other participants want to add to this, please feel free. Thank you again Kanlain and Ceelani for making this year's gathering a success.
